Vibe Coding: Build & Deploy a Web App

Use AI-assisted coding to plan, build, test, and deploy one small web application, while understanding and reviewing the work rather than accepting generated code blindly.

Is this course right for you?

Who it’s for
Students with web fundamentals, aspiring builders, entrepreneurs, and professionals ready for guided software-project practice.
Before you join
C02-level AI literacy and C09-level HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript knowledge, or an equivalent readiness check. Learners should be able to edit files, run a local project, use basic Git, and explain a simple function. C11 alone is not a zero-computer-background course.
Device and access
Computer required, with a suitable editor, Git, a browser, and one approved AI coding tool. Instructor-prepared hosting and database practice accounts must be available.

96 hours of total planned effort. 60 guided hours across 30 two-hour sessions, plus an estimated 36 hours of your own practice. 10 weeks assumes three sessions per week, excluding breaks and schedule gaps. Actual cohort dates are not announced.

One course, from idea to a deployed app.

Vibe coding here means using AI to help implement small changes, then reading, testing, and correcting the code. It does not mean publishing software you cannot explain.

This course combines AI-assisted coding foundations, frontend and backend work, persistent data, testing, and a deployed test application. It is not split into separate vibe-coding and deployment courses.

Use one instructor-approved stack, not several frameworks at once. Hosting, database, authentication, and AI-tool access must be agreed before the course starts. A test deployment is not a production security audit.

What you will learn

10 modules · 60 guided hours
Define a small app4 hours

Choose a user and problem, write a short feature brief, map screens and data, and agree acceptance checks. Keep the app small enough to complete.

AI-assisted coding foundations6 hours

Give useful context, request small changes, read diffs, question suggestions, inspect dependencies, use Git checkpoints, and recover from a poor change. Keep secrets out of prompts and source code.

Build the user interface8 hours

Create reusable page elements, forms, navigation, loading/error states, responsive layouts, and accessible labels using the selected stack. Review generated markup and code.

Build backend behavior8 hours

Explain browser/server requests, create limited API routes, validate input on the server, handle errors, and test allowed versus rejected operations.

Store and retrieve data6 hours

Model a small set of records, connect a database, implement create/read/update/delete operations, and understand migrations and persistent storage. Use synthetic data.

Accounts and access boundaries6 hours

Use a maintained authentication solution or instructor-reviewed implementation. Separate sign-in from permission checks, protect user-owned records, and avoid custom cryptography.

Test, debug, and review6 hours

Run focused functional tests, negative-input cases, cross-user permission checks, keyboard/mobile checks, and basic dependency/secret checks. Review test suggestions from AI rather than assuming they are sufficient.

Deploy to a test environment6 hours

Configure build/start commands, runtime variables and secrets, database access, migrations, HTTPS, and a test URL on one selected hosting platform. Do not expose a developer server as a finished deployment.

Operate and recover4 hours

Inspect logs and health, check restart persistence and basic costs, back up sample data, test restoration, and rehearse code rollback. Explain why code rollback does not necessarily undo database changes.

Final app demonstration6 hours

Finish one small application, test locally and remotely, fix identified issues, and present the feature brief, code changes, tests, deployment notes, and remaining limits.

Total guided learning60 hours

Your own practice

Interface improvements (8), backend exercises (8), database practice (6), test/review work (6), deployment repetition (4), final documentation (4).

36 estimated hours, in addition to guided sessions.

PUT YOUR LEARNING INTO PRACTICE

Your final work

One small task tracker, learning planner, or similar low-risk application with one main record type, persistent data, a reviewed account/access approach, and a deployed test URL. Use synthetic users and records. A static landing page or a prototype that loses its records on restart is not enough for this course outcome.

How to show your understanding

  • The learner can explain how a browser action reaches the server and database.
  • Core create/read/update/delete actions work with checked inputs and clear errors.
  • Invalid inputs and attempts to access another test user's records are rejected appropriately.
  • Secrets are not included in the repository, browser bundle, screenshots, or AI context.
  • The project can be run from documented setup steps and deployed without relying on unrecorded manual edits.
  • Test records persist across an application restart; backups/restoration and a code rollback are demonstrated in the practice environment.
  • AI assistance, human corrections, and remaining limitations are recorded honestly.

What this course does not promise

A guided learning project, not an independently audited production system or a full-stack career qualification. Exclude payments, real customer/student records, regulated decisions, large-scale operations, and unsupervised production launches. AI editor subscriptions, model credits, hosting, database services, domains, and ongoing maintenance are not included unless explicitly costed and stated. Do not promise a permanently free host or permanent availability of the deployed project.

Fees and what to confirm

Offer priceNot announced

We have not published a price or discount for this programme. Confirm the fee in INR, applicable taxes, payment terms, any genuine offer conditions, and cancellation or refund rules before enrolling.

Learning approach

The outline includes guided explanation, practical tasks, and a final review within the stated guided hours. Independent practice is additional estimated time. Confirm the actual notes, resources, review arrangements, and support scope for your programme.

Access and other costs

Devices, internet access, paid software, AI subscriptions, model/API credits, domains, hosting, and third-party exam fees are not automatically included. Specialist courses need suitable tool and practice-environment access agreed before they begin.

No job, salary, placement, vendor certification, or externally recognized qualification is guaranteed. Any DAI Skills completion document and its requirements must be confirmed separately.
