AI versus ordinary software, generative AI, common uses, limitations, and when not to use it. Compare a supported use with an unsuitable one.
Clear instructions4 hours
Purpose, audience, context, examples, constraints, and output format. Write and improve instructions for a small task.
Useful everyday applications4 hours
Summaries, explanations, brainstorming, rewriting, and organizing approved information. Compare outputs with the original material.
Verification and uncertainty4 hours
Check factual claims, calculations, links, and invented citations; recognize gaps and unsupported confidence.
Privacy and final practice4 hours
Confidentiality, permitted inputs, attribution, academic/workplace rules, and human responsibility. Present a checked result.
Your own practice
Improve three instructions (3), compare/check outputs (3), document a small final task (3).

Your final work
An AI-assisted explanation or research note, with the original instruction, checked sources, corrections, and a short account of the learner's contribution.
How to show your understanding

AI literacy and application, not model training, software engineering, or a vendor certificate.

Learning approach

Devices, internet access, paid software, AI subscriptions, model/API credits, domains, hosting, and third-party exam fees are not automatically included. Specialist courses need suitable tool and practice-environment access agreed before they begin.
